This is an illo for The New York Times’ “The City” section. Eric Anthamatten’s essay is about the frequent and common disorientation than every New Yorker has felt when emerging from the subway, perhaps at an unfamiliar station, and not being able to situate themselves on the city grid. During our visit to Rocky Mountain National Park, Corrie and I hiked up Hallett Peak via the Flattop Mountain Trail. This poplular hike is close to Bear Lake and the Estes Park entrance. It was amazing. The scenery was gorgeous and the weather held until we were on our way down. At the end we were soaked, satisfied, and smiling. Feel free to hike with along us via our Flickr set. I’m tying the knot in May to my sweet Kristina and am in the midst of some designs for the invites and other assorted design elements. These trees were some tests.

This illo ran in this week’s Miami Herald on the cover of the Business Monday section. Apparently the usually brisk furniture market in Miami has been hit by the spate of home foreclosures, and is reeling from the downturn.
